Large Old Navajo Silver and Turquoise Shawl Pin (#18-018)

This beautiful old brooch is much larger than is common for a bar pin, and features a row of seven high quality domed oval turquoise stones. The weight and large size of the piece suggest that it may have been made for native use. The long oval pin is decorated with silver drops and some stampwork, much of which is covered by the stones. A beautiful early piece that would have functioned well as a blanket or shawl pin. Circa: 1930’s-40’s 4 7/16″ L Weight: 24.5 grams
