Victor Coochwytewa Hopi Overlay Silver Pin/Pendant (#18-003)
Wonderful overlay silver pin/pendant by multi-award winning Hopi master silversmith Victor Coochwytewa. Hand made from heavy sterling silver, this very charming circular brooch/pendant depicts a devilish little supernatural being with horns, who strides along playing a flute. Seemingly depicting a different being than the ubiquitous flute playing fertility god Kokopelli, the motif is quite unusual. Very finely crafted by a renowned master silversmith, it bears Coochwytewa’s rain cloud hallmark on the reverse. In excellent vintage condition with some very light surface scratching.
Circa: 3rd Quarter 20th Century Dimensions: 2 1/16″ diameter Weight: 28.2 grams
