Navajo Silver Belt Buckle with Turquoise and Coral (#18-011)

A really stunning vintage Navajo or Pueblo silver belt buckle with turquoise nuggets and branch coral. Although I suspect this is Navajo rather than Zuni work, it really is the stones that shine in this attractive buckle. A heavy silver buckle, the center set with twenty-four high grade turquoise stones of various shapes and colors. The stones are interspersed with silver drops and bordered by two types of twisted wire. The outer border is cut to the shape of the twenty-two chunks of deep red branch coral. The piece is hallmarked on the back: “925 PB.” A really gourgeous buckle!
